Good Luck Billy G.
Billy G., it is official, KY let him go yesterday. As excited as I am he is gone, it is saddening as well. I mean, look at him, he's a handsome cat. I don't like to see anyone out of a job. Of course with making over 1.5 million a year, I'm sure he can live a few days. He wasn't hard on the eyes, but he didn't understand how KY Basketball works.
KY Basketball is a whole different creature. I think the first question they should ask a candidate is, "Do you know how, and are you willing to embrace the fans?"
KY Basketball is not just another sport, another game, it is almost a religion here, as it was said in the news conference, it isn't just "another coaching job"". By the end of the first year of him here, we all had the same look he has here...."WTH"
Now onto bigger fish. Who will be the next reigning Ambassador of the UK Wildcats. So far the rumor mill is wild. So far the papers are saying the following are possible candidates: Billy Donovan, Travis Ford, Jamie Dixon, Rick Barnes, John Pelfrey, Darrin Horn, Bruce Pearl, Jay Wright, Tom Izzo, Mike Anderson, Sean Miller,Jeff Capel, or John Calipari. All of which are fairly decent coaches. Everyone is saying Billy Donovan is out, but I wouldn't rule him out just yet. I personally wouldn't mind to see him here, but I'm routing for our home state boy, Travis Ford. He played for KY, is from KY and has the Kentucky Ball heart. He was lead by one of the best coaches Rick Pitino. Too bad U of L has him, I think he would be a great pick too! My third pick would probably be John Calipari.
Good Luck Travis!! Let's see if Kentucky can get theirself together and find a coach who knows what Kentucky Ball means to the people of Kentucky!!

For those for who are following me crazy diet. I did an amazing job if I do say so myself, losing 23lbs in one month!! Of course stupid crazy me, thought, "Ok, I can afford to take one or two days and eat something I want, especially with the food day at work, and the bridal shower" Guess what, major NO, NO!! I gained 4 1/2lbs back, and this morning I am wanting to kick myself hard in the bottocks.
Anyways, I have uploaded some pictures of myself so you can see. Still it's not too bad, I can tell some change. This week is back to the grind stone with it!!!!

Slacker
Slacker, that is what I have been this week.
I don't know what is wrong with me.
I don't really have much to say.
Nothing I can really share.
It's been a little rocky at the house this week.
Nothing major.
Just this crazy girl a little off kilter.
Crazy things has a cause and affect.
Now on top of that I have that bridal shower tomorrow.
Yuckie.
She emailed me yesterday and asked me to provide 4 games and 4 gifts.
Nothing like waiting until 3 days before an event.
Do I seem cranky?? haha
What is everyone else doing for the weekend??

Nothing, but Something
Today is normally recipe day for me, but I'm not in the mood today.
It's a "Nothing but Something" kinda day.
How is it that sometimes when you have nothing to say, that you have so many "somethings" going on upstairs??
Why is it that so often you are wrapped up in emotions, thoughts, ideas, yet you don't know how to express them?
And you have, "nothing"
You are exhausted.
You are drained.
You are empty.
You have "nothing" to share, but are full of "something"
Sometimes I wonder if the people closest to me even have any clue what is going on with me. Inside my head, inside my heart.
Ok, weird post for me I know. Nothing funny today. Just rambling.

Another Kidnapping Has Taken Place.......
I'm telling ya, I am getting really good at this "kidnapping" stuff. Once again I have managed to "kidnap" a friend. If you remember, I blogged about her Mother passing away the first week of Jan. She has been really down about this, so today, Mary and I kidnapped Sam. Her husband knew we were coming after her, but had no clue what we were doing. I asked him, "Did you get Sam's bag packed?" Then she was like, uh oh........ We just took her to the mall in a near by city shopping. A girls day of course. We bought girlie things of course, pretty panties, perfumes, and new tops. And went to eat. How can you have a girl day without eating somewhere?? We finished the day off with girl scout cookies, and taking our pictures in a photo both. It was a blast for all. Hope you having a great weekend. To the side you will see our kidnapee.....

Work Story
What a week!! I survived it. It has been drama, drama, drama at work. I don't think my blog page is long enough to tell the whole story. Even as funny as it is, it might be one of those, "you had to be there" type ones. I dunno. Here goes.
Of course with the economy we are extremely short handed. Times are tough all around, and we are holding our ground. Instead of my normal "Executive Assistant" position, I have became the following: Sales & Marketing (Co-Op) Gal, Print Shop Gal, Switchboard Gal, and pretty much else that falls in between. Which is ok, it makes my day go faster, and I was actually pretty excited about the Sales and Marketing bit. While answering the phones in the morning I also help out "Billing Assurance" by stuffing their invoices for mailing out. We have a numerous amount that goes to our branches through in house mail. Let's just say that the invoice stuffing became a front desk job years ago when the "Billing Assurance" chick didn't think that chick had enough to deal with. Back to now. I am basically chained to up front other than to go post mail. So I had asked this lady to leave the branch stuff in the back and not carry it up front. Now I feel common sense would have told one to go ahead and put it in the appropriate box, instead of carrying it to the front of the building for someone else to bring back to the mail room and do.
Don't you agree?
Wednesday I was working on contracts. They are very tedious and are very important because this is how we are getting paid making sure people have correct pricing. I have 10 different ones to do. They are 10 pages long with 42 on each page. So here I am trying to answer a hundred plus phone calls an hour and key this crazy stuff.
Ms. Billing Assurance comes up and says, " You really need to go back and put the branch transfers in their mailboxes, the managers are calling wanting them." (this is where I start losing it) so I never turned around, I kept keying (I knew I would go off if I did) and said, "then I guess you better go put them in there then"
I mean HELLO!!! Can you not see I am waist deep in it??
Let's just say things went down hill from there. One of my bosses (and her's) comes up and ask why so stressed? I told her about the contracts, and Ms Billing Assurance. So Ms. Brenda goes back and does the transfers that I had not go to in a month. Yes it had been a month. Yes, I probably should have made time to do it, but my days are passing quicker now than I can do most things. So, boss calls MBA, I can hear Boss Lady raising her voice as it goes on. I'm thinking, well I can't really repeat it, lol. Next thing I know we are having what I like to call, "Come to Jesus Meeting" Our whole dept is in the board room. Here is how the meeting goes:
Boss: Ladies: I know this is an extremely busy time for all of us, but we are a team and we need to work together. This means we are going to have to dig in and help one another out. We all have heavier work loads, and it's not going to back down anytime soon. (Please know this lady is a fence sitter, she is a very diplomatic employer. She shows no favoritism, but she doesn't take stupid well either)
she's still talking at this point but,
MBA: (screaming) I have never had anyone complain about my work ever before!! Until SHE (pointing at me) called you about this, and I would have been happy to do it, if she had asked!!!!
Boss: Now MBA, you told me on the phone it "wasn't your job, and you weren't doing it" that is exactly what you told me. Unless I was to make you. Now I'm telling you, you are going to do them, It's stupid for you to be back there sorting them, and then bring them up front to someone who is chained to a desk to do.
Ok, so you're getting the jest of this?? This whole episode escalates. She has gone from having her claws out and me and Boss lady to crying. Then it was:
MBA: No one appreciates me. No one knows what I do. I can't keep up. On and on, and on.
One of the other girls later said that if she would quit doing her sudoku puzzles and spending 3hrs a day plus on her celly she might have more time.
I am thinking by the time we leave this 15min meeting that turned into and hour and 15min meeting she is over it, we can be grown ups, and go back to work.
Let's just say I was wrong, and then some.
If looks could kill I would be dead.
Yesterday I was in the print shop repotting some plants from the front reception area. She came back there. I said going morning MBA, she stops and says, (I am not kidding here) "Don't talk to me, and leave me alone from now on!!!!!" of course by this time I couldn't resist because we are talking about a 55 year old woman acting this childish, "10-4 Good Buddy" and went on with what I was doing.
It has been like this since Wednesday afternoon. I am tired, and wore out. I don't understand how people act like this.
Ok, I had to get that off my chest.
We ended the day nicely as well. I met her in the hallway as she was leaving and I was going back to do some more stuff in the print shop before leaving, (not thinking) I said, "Have a good weekend MBA". She was curtious enough to call me a smug b@tch under her breath, lol.
Good Times People!! Welcome to my Adult Daycare and Learning Center!!!
Today I am off with the girls to Huntington for a shopping trip. Hope you all have a great weekend. Maybe I can get caught up with everyone tonight.
Toodles!

Buh Bye Fishies!!
You might remember a while back, on January 31st I posted about these atrocious fish hanging in my office area. I couldn't move them because they belonged to the C.E.O. and he's like a 100 and set in his ways. As I said before I have another new boss, Ms. Brenda (see picture below) she has made "the fish" disappear. Recently we are going through some upgrade period. So they just happen to go buh bye! ***waving***
I wanted to scream, and yell HOORAYYYY!!! One of the ladies from the gallery came down, I said Leseia, do you notice anything? She sounded and looked like she had just won the grand prize on The Price's Right. I kid you not. She was jumping up and down, squealing. It was a sight in it's self. The walls are bare for now. I'm fine with that. I was sick of feeling sea sick...haha.
p.s. I really think he's afraid of my boss, what do you think??
p.s.s. She would REALLY kill me if she knew I posted that pic. She sent it to my via text one day when I was off and said that is how it was going without me. haha

Quick, Quick
I gotta go so I can get out of here for Church tonight. I have been hounding a friend to help me put together some new tunes for my page. This person knew me way back in the day. I'm not sure still if that is good or bad. Hopefully though, they will be able to see the page, and hear what we together came up with.
I hope these work, I downloaded them at work where I have no speakers!! If not, forgive me this round. I will fix them later!!
For the good Times~~~

Banana Split Cake
Since it's getting spring time, I thought a spring dessert would be good. I think it's springy anyways. It's one of my favorites, and it's extremely easy!!
Enjoy!!
Banana Split Cake
What you need:
1-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup sugar, divided
1/3 cup butter, melted
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
6 medium bananas, divided
2 cups cold milk
2 pkg.(4-serving size each) Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
2 cups thawed cool whip, divided
1 cup chopped pecan
Mix crumbs, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the butter; press firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Freeze 10 min.
BEAT cream cheese and remaining 3/4 cup sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Spread carefully over crust; top with pineapple. Slice 4 of the bananas; arrange over pineapple.
POUR milk into medium bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Gently stir in 1 cup of the whipped topping; spread over banana layer in pan. Top with remaining 1 cup whipped topping; sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate 5 hours. Slice remaining 2 bananas just before serving; arrange over dessert. Store any leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Kentucky Basketball
I hate to say it, being a huge Kentucky fan, but I am glad this season is over. Billy G has pretty much put the nails in the coffin for us, and no one at UK seems to notice, even though the rest of Kentucky does.
When Tubby left, I was almost ecstatic. I was hoping that we would be lucky enough to get Billy Donovan, but nooooooooooooo, wrong Billy. ***Sighs*** How is it possible that we got a drunk instead of a basketball coach?? Who, hasn't shown up all season, and yet, I haven't seen any great recruiting. He was suppose to be some "Awesome Recruiter", blah, blah, blah.
Know what they REALLY should have done?? They should have hired Pat Summit from the Lady Volvs team in TN, and got a real coach in here for Ky. So what if she is a woman?? I think she would have been great myself!! I will settle for Travis Ford. I know he hasn't been a big time coach yet, but he is heart and soul a true blue Kentuckian. He was under Rick Patino, who better could you have played for and learned under?? Come on KY, give him a shot!!
I hope this is the end for Billy G. Don't get me wrong, he's a sharped dressed, young, nice looking, single man. Yet seems to have no clue how basketball is coached.
Kentucky has a great arena. I posted a picture of the last game I went to. As you can see the game is going, but the seats aren't full. I couldn't believe it. KY use to be the hardest team to get tickets for and now, I am sadden by our lack of team spirit.
I will stand with the Blue, because I will always Bleed Blue, with Billy G., or hopefully not. haha.

The Week of Song
I can't believe I have let another week slip by without posting. As always it's been full of chaos, and on top of that my being sick. YUCK!! I had made it through almost all winter without it. But I pulled up my Granny Panties and Sucked It Up, so to speak. I came to work miserable, which worked out well with little or no voice, meant I didn't have to respond other than with a viscous look I am sure. I came home every night and went straight to bed. That meant no recipe on Tuesday. Maybe this week I will do two, to make up.
It was a week of song. You know, one of those that every day after you wake up, start getting ready for the day, some annoying little song plants itself into your mind and won't let go? Of course it's cute for the first chorus, but then by 10, when you are downing a second pot of coffee, and your singing it to yourself when people come in to get a cup, (am I really the only one who does that?) I am almost at the point of finding a hammer and beating it out of my head. Sometimes you don't even realize you are doing it. Example we are in the car, going home. I am just watching out the window, looking at the scenery. Hubby goes, "Why are you singing a Christmas song??" "What??" I say, as I look around innocently like I have no clue what he's talking about. At least today's song was something country I could get away with. If you hear someone singing "I Told You So", it's probably me. I am undecided if I like Carrie Underwoods version. I guess I'm testing both out in my head??
Anyways.....enough of that. If this spring is any inclination to what summer is going to be, we are in for it. It has been 70 the last two days, and suppose to be that warm and then some the next few. I can live with warmer weather. It means more days with my boys, like in the picture below. Aren't they cute??
Today is my Saturday to work. I hate those. It did give me time to blog though, and get caught up with everyone while I am here alone. I do miss seeing what is going on with my bloggy friends. I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. Hubby and I are going to start outdoor projects soon. Flower beds, painting, walk ways, etc.
Have a great rest of the weekend!!
