Another Saturday.....

I'm sitting in the recliner, looking at my Christmas tree (yes, obviously it's still up) thinking, I should take you down, but you are oh so pretty and I'm going to miss seeing you.  I should be doing laundry, and cleaning house, since I am ashamed to admit I have not touched since Christmas pretty much.  Hey, the road trip to Memphis last weekend took up some of my time, don't judge lol.  

It was a long night, DH had a horrible flare up of gout and let's just say between his foot and the fever, I've seen more open eye than shut eye.  We had prayer here, but I called Momma & Dad about 12:30 for some back up. His fever has been so high during the night I was afraid to sleep.  He is on the couch resting comfortably and sleeping like a log.  I know this because I set off the fire alarm (don't ask) and I could hear him snoring over it.  It's a shame our fireplace is gas because he definitely could supply some logs this morning. 

It smells wonderful in the house where I made buttermilk biscuits and homemade fried apples.  (No, I didn't burn either of them to set the alarm off.)  It's still snowing here.  It snowed off and on all day yesterday but around 9 last night the roads started getting bad.  It's beautiful outside now.  I took some pictures.  Still have no clue how to get them on my new laptop.  I can blog, facebook, and add music to my IPhone that is my talents on it.  Yeah, I should probably learn.

I'm thinking today is going to be another lazy Saturday.  Maybe I'll breakdown and learn to load pictures on this?  I will keep you posted.  Maybe I can post some pictures later.

Went to Indiana last weekend for Grandma's B-Day.  Best visit I have ever had there.  Betty hugged DH & I both as we were leaving and said she was so glad we came to visit.  We were both scared.  The world didn't end at that moment.  We're waiting to see what happens next.

As I was in the Wally World line earlier this week for check out I see a mag cover that has Brad and Angelina Jolie on it.  How she's pregnant again, trying ot save their marriage.  I'm sick of hearing about Brad & Ang.  Seriously, if the first 4 kids didn't make Brad want to stay with her, why would having another work?  Just sayin'.

Let's add Tiger Woods to that list, PLEASE, enought all ready.  I think there is a difference in someone who likes to cheat, and a sex addiction.  He has ruined his career.  Let's move on.  He's not sorry about what he has done, other than getting caught other than being sorry he got busted.

Keith wrecked my parents new explorer during all the snow we had.  The world didn't end and he's still breathing, so I guess all is well in the world, lol.

I love raspberry zingers.  I've decided this weekend to create a homemade version in a cake form.  I hate the thoughts of the whole "twinkie" not desolving, know what I mean?  I'll let you know how it turns out.

The part came in for my tub faucet.  I am not holding my breath  hoping that DH will get it in this weekend so that our whirlpool tub will be done, and all pretty!!

I had a REALLY strange dream last night that included the 5 most life influencing men in my life.  There was also a big black horse, snow and a lot of crying involved.  yeah, anyways......

I'm Sorry

Yes, I have to say, "I'm Sorry".  I was doing so well posting everyday and well I got busy, imagine that.
I was telling DH on the way home today from work (yes, we worked today, Saturday finishing up inventory at work) that I hadn't blogged in over a week.  He didn't believe me.  I told him the only time I actually had time to was Monday and Tuesday, we actually got home before 6:30 but I spent my evenings with him since I knew we would be tied up with physical inventory at work the rest of the week. (And I had basically left him on his own since last Wednesday with Thanksgiving/Shopping/Poppy & WWI).
Thanksgiving well, how do you learn to enjoy it when you do so much preperation and cooking???
The in-laws I was blessed with only 1 true day with them.  They left at 3 that day.  They were not happy that I didn't stay home Friday to entertain them I guess.  DH said his Dad mentioned Betty thought I was mad. 
Whatever.  I wasn't.  I just didn't want to be  here, lol.  This coming from a lady who the last winter when we were up there left me at a Kohl's for 3hrs.  (long story).  Anyways, oh yeah, inventory.  We are finished.  I think.  Hopefully I will be back to my normal bloggy self.
I got a great deal on a tree at Kohl's,  (did I mention it's one of my favorite places?) it was a $199 tree that was on one of those "special hours" sales for 67.99 which in it's self was a great deal, but I had a 15% off card AND $10 Kohl's cash from my last purchase.  My tree was under $50 and is a pre-lit!! 
It's even up.  Not decorated, but up.  It's a start.
We had snow this morning and I was HAPPY!!! HAPPY!!! HAPPY!!!
It is 26 here now and my toes are ice cubes, but I'm still happy.

Ok, now I am halfway caught up on some of my "blog reading" and I am gonna go lay on the couch with a big cup of hot cocoa and watch "White Christmas".

Oh yeah, what is the deal with Tiger Woods??  I'm just curious how stupid he REALLY is.

We had a great time here!!
B & I had a great girls night with the spa thing.
We were all relaxed and pretty for when the guys took us out Saturday.
We went to Shelbyville to Claudia Sanders.
If you are even in that neck of the woods, you should try it out.

Hubby's gone on business in Atlanta.
Corporate is here this week, which means stress for me.
I haven't eat, can barely sleep, yet I am so tired.

I'm still steaming over the 20/20 episode B and I watched Friday night.
It was talking about people from the mountains of Eastern KY.
There is not a soap box big enough for me to stand on for what I have to say about that.
When they do these shows, I think they go looking for the worst people available.
If they weren't missing all their teeth, on drugs, drawing a check, or a few other things, they weren't on there. They didn't focus on the 18yr old who started in the coal mines at $60,000 s year. They would rather focus on people who have no teeth because of "Mt Dew Mouth" caused by the inability to afford milk, so just give your babies Mt Dew. Not everyone here is looking for a hand out. ****sighs****
The media needs to be shut down. They always tell what they want of a story, not the WHOLE STORY. Please don't get me wrong, we do have people who are having a hard time surviving, who have bad health, using drugs, among other things, but is there a state that isn't???
Sorry, I could go on and on. I was just surprised with someone being from KY their self, I wouldn't have ran everyone else down.
