Sunday Morning Thoughts

I love Sunday mornings.  To be up in the house alone and it quiet.
I can pray as I go.  Sing, and just talk one on one with the Lord.
The last few weeks I've been able to continue to pray, but talking to Him has been so much harder.
With everything going on with DH & I and the rest of our family it just seems I've not been able to find the words.
This song below is has been continuously in my heart and on my lips.
Because even through it all, even in the darkest valley, God is still so good to me and I can't complain.
Thank You Bro Don Johnson for writing & singing "I Can't Complain"

“Music is what feelings sound like.”
God is so Good to Me, I just Can't Complain.
I Love You Lord

Am I Still Here?

I am almost back up to speed and ready to blog full force again.
With the exception of just being too busy with work, Church, and our trip in less than 26 days.
Yes I have them numbered, duh!!
Let's see, 1st time of out the country.  2nd being in Norway with Missionaries who live there, and will help us make major decisions affecting the rest of our lives.  3rd because I'm learning another position at work to cover for a gal at work that is pregnant, and have put in for another job at the same time there.  Yeah, and I'm suppose to remember it all.  My brain is on overload.
On a brighter note, I am able to pick up a new radio station at work.  It is God's Country 107.1.  It's a mixture of Christian music and non-negative country music.  No drinking, losing your dog, your wife, blah, blah, blah stuff.  Anyways, they have been playing this song below.  I love it!!  I thought I would share it and the next time you have that little nagging voice in your head to call someone, do it!

Matt Kennon is the artist, "The Call" is the song.

“Music is what feelings sound like.”

Have a great weekend!

Captain & Tennille

Today while at work I was talking to Boss Lady about getting a cd stuck in the cd player in the car.
The first thing she asked was, "was it your Captain & Tennille?"
I was like "WHO!?!?!?"
She didn't believe me when I said I had never heard of them.
That they were a duet, that was something like the Carpenters.
I had to question her wanting me to find out about them, seriously, if you think about it
what kind of brother & sister sings songs like the Carpenters??
She told me to go to my world of knowledge, aka Google and find them.
Being they had their first "album" in 1974 and was 2yrs before I was even born, I felt better.
So my question today is, how many of you remember this "Captain & Tennille"?
What are your memories of them?

For those of you who do, I have put them on my tracks below.
Enjoy!!

I thought this was suiting for me :)

The Song Remembers When

This my last Friday off.
I was taking complete advantage of it by finishing a book, then catching up with the blogs I follow. I had some music playing in the background. I love music. All kinds.

Anyways, as I am reading I hear this Kenny Chesney song, "You Win, I Win, We Lose".
I thought back to almost 11 years ago to a guy I use to see, his name was Mike. Unfortunately because of the situation that song reminded me of him then. Now when I hear it, I still think of him.

Funny how music can do that for you. You can hear a song and it takes you back to another place, another person, and another time that is so dim in your mind you think you have forgotten it, then you hear a song, and "the song remembers when".

So today, on my last Friday off, I have decided to take a trip down "memory lane" with some people and "adjust" my music to suit. It ranges from family to friends, to old beaux.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Quick, Quick

I gotta go so I can get out of here for Church tonight. I have been hounding a friend to help me put together some new tunes for my page. This person knew me way back in the day. I'm not sure still if that is good or bad. Hopefully though, they will be able to see the page, and hear what we together came up with.
I hope these work, I downloaded them at work where I have no speakers!! If not, forgive me this round. I will fix them later!!

For the good Times~~~
