Tasty Tuesday

It's a "Tasty Tuesday" here at Rambling at the Foothills.
I didn't have time to blog.
It comes with a funny little story at the end too.

Banana Pancakes with Peanut Butter Syrup
(Christmas Morning Tradition at our House)

1 Angel/Heart Cookie Cutter for shape
2 c. biscuit mix (or self rising flour)
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed banana
2 large eggs
½ tsp cinnamon
3 tablespoons butter
¾ c. maple syrup
¼ c. peanut butter

Mix together first 5 ingredients. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter on griddle
Mix peanut butter and syrup until smooth

*** I wanted Jr & I have to have a “family tradition” at our house Christmas morning. I thought this would be perfect. After being married 4 yrs, he finally broke down and told me he didn’t like peanut butter!! Now we have it with just syrup, and I fix myself some of the peanut butter syrup****

Yummy! My dad did the same thing to me! I made him peanut butter cookies for every birthday/holiday for YEARS (we're talking from like the age of 12 all the way until a few years ago, say 25?) and he finally gets the nerve one day to tell me he doesn't really like them. I was crushed!

Those sound delish! And how funny that he went that long without telling you. My husband always add peanut butter to his waffles or pancakes before the syrup.
