Here are a few pics of our home the day after the flood. As you can see we have tremendous damage.
Our clothes, dishes, and guns is what was salvagable. We had anywhere from 4 1/2 to 5 feet of water in the house. Nannie is in the same boat as us, pardon the pun, I am running on little sleep at this point.
We are safe at Mom's, living on top of one another. Unfortunately we were "above" the flood plain and didn't not have flood insurance.
God is good and will provide, until then it's a day by day thing.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are starting to feel the effects of the mold and mildew that has set in quickly while we try to remove stuff. Along with a couple hours a sleep a night.
I will blog as I can but for now you know where I am

I'm so very sorry. What can I do to help?
I can NOT even imagine! Oh Maria! What devastation! How upsetting for everthing to be wet and damaged, dirty and such a mess. I simply can't even fathom all you are going through. I am so sorry and am praying right now for your family...!
Oh my gosh, Maria, I'm so sorry. I will be thinking of you during this time. I'm not sure if there is anything I can do for you from here, but please let me know! Keep your chin up.
Wow! I am so sorry! I can't imagine what that is like! I will keep y'all in my thoughts and prayers!
Try contacting your Emergency Managenment Department in the county. They can tell you what help may be available, like Red Cross or FEMA.
Heartbreaking. So sorry you're going through this. You and everyone else there are in my prayers.
Oh Maria! I am so very sorry that this has happened. You, DH and your Nannie are in my prayers.
