HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEITH!!!
Today is my youngest brother's birthday.
He turned 20, and I turned old, lol.
There is 13yrs between us.
I was leaving home, when he was starting school.
I still remember the day he was born like yesterday.
We were at the hospital. My Momma was so big the whole time she was pregnant with him, they couldn't decide if it was twins or not.
My Dad kept threatening to name them "Rufus & Rastas".
My other brother, Josh and I had a bet, on if it was a boy or girl. He chose boy, I chose a girl. So I lost $20 bucks I never paid up, but isn't that just life, and being the oldest?? Dad came out to tell us it was a boy. I cried. I don't mean just little princess tears, I mean great big tears, and pleaded and begged they would send him back!! I wanted a girl that bad. Of course after I held him, it was all over with and he was mine to take home. He was like my own baby.
Being the age difference I got to babysit ALOT, so I made up for it later on with frilly dresses and bows!! (Just kidding Bub!!)
My Momma does blame me for him not being able to play in the yard unless he matched. (Among a whole lot of other lil' things, but we won't go into that) I still don't understand what's wrong with that? I taught him to be conscious of what he wears is all.
20yrs later, here we are.
I wouldn't trade him for the world or even consider it.
He's been a good kid. He works, goes to school, and has dreams he is trying to fulfill. Now he is a great young man, and I am more proud of him today than the day he was born. He has taught me as many things, as I have taught him in life, but my learning has been greater.
Happy Birthday Bub, I Love You!!
